Part of my mess

WildWomanOfTheWest posted about her mess so
I thought I'd share a small part of mine.

During the winter the power company graciously agreed
to cut down a tree in the backyard.
Much as I loved this tree,
it was growing almost on top of the septic tank.

Jeremy and I have been reducing the left overs a little at a time.
A lot of it was used as firewood.

I really need to sweep the back deck.
A new broom on pay day is the first step.

When I moved here, this was a huge empty space.
Over the course of eight years, I managed to fill it up.
All of this has to go so I can sell the house.

I've been working on it and a lot has already been sold, trashed or donated.

Speaking of donations, this is the current pile of things
from inside the house that are going away.

There are plenty of other messes around here.

I know this is a terrible photo, but if you look very carefully, you can make out the chicks' pin feathers.

I wish I could get my doctor to understand this.

These aren't very good pictures,

but I wanted to show you this flock.

I've never seen so many black vultures together and
couldn't get them all in one picture.

There was several groups spread along the side of the road.
Looked like around forty in all.

I think they were drinking water from the ditch

since I didn't see or smell anything dead.
