Act and Think LIke a Kid Again Day
Attention ladies and gentlemen, potential boys and girls,
tomorrow is the first annual Act and Think Like a Kid Day.
Join in the fun!!!
Zimbo suggested I remind everyone to take photos and/or videos of their antics. Post them on your blog, send me a link and I'll compile and post them all in one blog next Friday so everyone can share in the fun.
If you're having a problem coming up with what to do, check out these ideas submitted by others.
POETIC_ISIS Scribble outside the lines and "The best way to think and feel like a kid is to hang out with kids."
Zimbo Photos and videos of all this would be good and it happens to be Father's Day in the UK
travelerblue thinks she will follow a cat up a tree
Kowpatty found a book of Mad LIbs to play.
Babyboomerjill is going slip and sliding (I'd like to do that too)
CrazyKey123 is going to swing
Kowpatty says eat dessert first
Find a beach and swim and play in the sand comes from ata_grandma
Three ideas from WildWomanOfTheWest
'"Put your arm out the window of a moving car~ and let your hand play against the wind force.
Lay on the grass and find shapes on the clouds.
Box with a praying mantis."
traveler suggested:
"Play real "board games" with friends on the porch.
(I like to play board games myself)"
Ride bikes around the block over and over and over."
kpsmom3 is putting children in charge to guide the way. (Nothing like having a tour guide)
If you have a cat (or dog), PartlySane suggested tying a helium balloon to its tale. That should make for some excitement!
The longest list of kid ideas comes from DessertHer
"Sit and lay on the floor instead of the couch or a chair.
Study rocks and the clouds.
Ask lots of questions about seemingly random things throughout the day.
Imitate the sounds of the animals you see.
Yell A LOT... happy yelling.
Make up songs on the spot and sing them out loud.
Pretend, pretend, pretend.
Play dress up.
Invite your friends over for a tea party, make sure they dress up.
Jump, skip, and run rather than walk.
Dance, make up your own moves and give them names.
Eat a Popsicle.
Go outside and play with sticks and dirt.
Go barefoot.
Watch your favorite animated Disney movie (hand drawn animation of course).
Wonder if there really are goblins, faeries, and aliens.
Be amazed at how things work."

Kudos to samanthabecicka. None of this would be happening if it weren't for her. If you don't know her, drop by and say hello.
